I think I finally found a process I like with Photoshop. Definitely am a fan of scanning in hand-inked stuff and then coloring it.

A local gallery is having a juried show the first week of July, so I decided it was time to bust out my old watercolor set and hopefully get something submitted.
It's a pseudo-patriotic theme, so I decided to go with an obscure folk tale, which is where I found a guy named Alfred Bulltop Stormalong. He's supposed to be this 300 foot tall sailor, but I pretty much picked him because he has the most badass name ever. Anyways, here's a little teaser, I will post the whole painting when it's finished.

Me and a friend have been doing the facebook art-tag this summer, and we plan on switching themes every month to keep it interesting. The first theme is cartoons/shows from our childhood. Being a product of the 90's gives me a lot of weird ideas to play with. Here are my little sketches so far. Bonus points if you know the shows!
I figured I would post up some work I was doing back when I was in college, just so it could have a cozy place to live on the internet. I used to mainly work traditionally with oils and watercolors, but have kind of strayed away from that in order to teach myself as much as I can about Photoshop. Enjoy!
Duality. Oil on canvas
Jason and the Golden Fleece. Watercolor
Hades and Persephone. Watercolor
Prometheus and Zeus. Watercolor
Headlights. Acrylic on board
